The makers of the youth-centric emotional love entertainer ‘Thella Kaagitham’ launched its official teaser on Saturday. Produced by Krishna Kommalapati under the Arunachala Creations banner, the film features Harsh Roshan and debutante Nakshatra in the lead roles. Ramesh Bandreddi makes his directorial debut with this project. It is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 2.

The teaser for the "based on a true incident" teen romantic drama begins on a touching note, enlivened further by a melody playing in the background. When a teacher (Goparaju Ramana) speaks of a blemish, there is a foreboding of the lead pair facing a problem. Towards the end, the lead man assures his girlfriend of somehow being able to come out of the problem they have found themselves in. Ajay plays the hero's father while Raghuram plays his brother.

Speaking at the teaser launch event, guest and producer Dil Raju described the film as an "innocent love story set against the backdrop of the year 2000". He compared the narrative to the core idea of a red mark appearing on a clean white paper, further nothing that the story follows four young characters: Harsh Roshan, Nakshatra, and two friends. Dil Raju mentioned that the narrative reminded him of his past project, 'Kotha Bangaru Lokam', a musical hit. He commended writer Nandu Savirigana (story, screenplay, dialogues) for capturing the story's innocence, director Ramesh for his presentation, K.V. Guhan for the visuals, and Vijay Bulganin for the music. Raju assured his complete support for producer Krishna Kommalapati, whom he has known for nearly two decades.

Director Bobby Kolli called the project a multi-layered story containing elements of a popular success. He praised Harsh Roshan's script choices and welcomed Telugu actress Nakshatra to the industry. Writer and director BVS Ravi highlighted producer Krishna Kommalapati's long experience in movie production, noting his past work on films like 'Jawan' and 'Shatamanam Bhavati'. BVS Ravi stated that many filmmakers previously wanted to adapt this story, proving its wide appeal. He wished director Ramesh a successful career trajectory comparable to top directors in the Telugu film industry.

The film features an ensemble cast supporting the main leads. Actor Ajay played a role named Medical Shop Murthy, describing it as an emotional character close to his heart. He noted that the innocence of the lead characters, Ramu and Asha, forms the heart of the film. Actor Rajkumar Kasireddy shared that he portrays the protagonist's maternal uncle, comparing it to classic character types. Actor Raghuram returns to play Harsh Roshan's brother for the second time in his career. Actors Deepak and Shravya play the role of close friends to the primary lead characters.

Director Ram Abbaraju revealed that Ramesh Bandreddi previously worked with him on 'Samajavaragamana'. Having already watched the film, Ram Abbaraju praised its visual quality and emotional content, noting that Ajay appears in a distinct role. Writer Bhanu Bhogavarapu mentioned that writer Nandu Savirigana narrated the story to him first, praising its depth and natural lead performances. Producer Bekkem Venugopal expressed confidence that this project would become a career landmark for producer Krishna and actor Harsh Roshan following the success of 'Court'.

Nandu Savirigana shared the origins of the project. He revealed that a newspaper article he read years ago deeply disturbed him, inspiring him to write a story around the event once he entered the film industry. He noted that the narrative naturally led the team to cast Harsh Roshan and Nakshatra. Nandu credited director Ramesh Bandreddi for staying dedicated to the project over a four-year development period. He expressed hope that the film's authenticity would resonate strongly with audiences. Harsh Roshan will receive a Best Actor award, he predicted.

Actress Nakshatra stated that the story reflects real-life experiences that everyday audiences can relate to directly. Lead actor Harsh Roshan expressed his gratitude for the industry's support, comparing the encouragement to a reassuring presence before an exam. He described 'Thella Kaagitham' as an emotional experience rather than just a movie, placing it in the genre of classic youth dramas like '7G Brindavan Colony' and 'Premiste'. The film connects directly with anyone who has gone through school and college life.

The team stated strong content and music give them total confidence ahead of the October 2 release.
