Dragon hit upon a block when Jr NTR injured himself in July last week. Following the injury, a surgery was performed at a private hospital in Hyderabad on his shoulder. He is currently recovering from the surgery.
Today, producer Y Ravi Shankar revealed that plans are afoot to restart the shoot two weeks from now. "The entire production will be wrapped up by February 2027 after continuous schedules. As planned, our movie is up for a grand release on 11 June 2027," he added.
In an interview in May, director Prashanth Neel stated that Tarak was up for the gamble of playing a morally ambiguous role after listening to the final draft of the story. "I wrote the last scene of the movie first. The rest of the story was written over the next three years to justify that one scene. Luger is the darkest character I have ever written. I have cast the most expensive villain in the history of Indian cinema," Neel told Galatta Plus.
Mythri Movie Makers plans to release Dragon on 11 June 2027. Dragon is a two-part movie.
